While moving several services off AWS Light Sail back to local hosting I noted that GCP offers 1 free 1 F1-micro instance per month.

The details are as follows:

1 F1-micro (1 vCPU, 0.6 GB memory) instance per month

1 f1-micro instance per month (US regions only—excluding Northern Virginia [us-east4])
30 GB-months HDD
5 GB-months snapshot in select regions
1 GB network egress from North America to all region destinations per month (excluding China and Australia)

I have moved my remaining services I want run off site to GCP. I don't really like the setup as much as ASW light sale, but it does the same thing but free.

To set this up you need to do the following:
Sign up at https://console.cloud.google.com/
Setup a credit card (needed even if you pick free services)
Setup a new VM, you must select a zone that shows the free option see the link below

You will however need to pay for a static IP which ranges in cost from a few cents to a dollar or so.

I haven't run a full month yet.. Other than the quark about which regions have the FREE option setup was somewhat similar to Light Sail.. However, it doesn't appear there is a quick way to setup SSH keys to download as there is in the Light Sail UI. The F1 is also not a speedy VM but it is still useful.
