imo it's one of those games which brings out the Evil Supervillain or Mad Scientist in each of us, it's not the game itself but how the player plays it that makes is super-entertaining (which is why those IGN guys deserve royalties for sales of this game, they make me want to play it, especially with my kids!) (Also, note to self: I gotta see what kind of hilarious damage the  Yogcast guys end up inflicting on their helpless patient...)

Lately there have been a lot of series where people are playing games together and having fun (a la Game Grumps / Yogscast), it's a combination of nostalgia and "hey let's do that" lol

This gameplay-video guy started off with terrible technique but eventually improved enough to score an *A*!

During lunch I watched all 5 parts (at 2x speed in Chrome #wheee ) and when he got the "A" (at the end of part 5) I honestly felt like cheering out loud for/with him! So yeah, strangely entertaining! Thanks to its frustration level, I'm guessing, can be really satisfying when the controls finally "CLICK" in your brain (see OP in this thread where I compare Surgeon Simulator to QWOP. ;) )

For me the controls are really hit and miss. The sense of accomplishment is huge when you pull off what you intended.

The rest of the time it is swearing at your screen.

I started playing while it was still early access, they now have an unlimited grip cheat once you fail several times in a row, however that only moderately helps if you suck.
