Title: Questions about forum access
Post by: Thorin on September 22, 2007, 02:37:05 AM

I call them "forum access groups" because I don't know what they're really called, but it's the groups like D&D that allow people access to the D&D and D20 Modern forums.

Both Melbosa and Lazybones have configured the groups, send either one a PM.

We can run reports from the admin console, and currently only admins control who gets access to groups... There is a mod out there that makes it so you can have moderators add people to specific groups but we have been doing so well with patching this forum I am not sure it is something we want to add, expecially when the next major version of the forum software is al ready in beta.

Let us know who you want in your groups and we will do it, between Mebosa and my self we can get it done rather quickly most of the time.

Can we double-check who's in the D20 Modern group, please?  Just PM me the list.  Mr. Analog might want the D&D group checked, too...

Just for reference I believe the next version of the forum which is still in beta has group moderation features for moderators.

CowGirl's in both groups so that she knows when we plan to play D&D (because I'm terrible at remembering to tell her).  That okay, or do you want her out of the D&D forum access group?

That seems ok to me.

Beta is done. The new release has been prime time for awhile now.

Cheers,
Matt
