Title: Social Gathering
Post by: Darren Dirt on February 28, 2005, 01:42:47 PM
Well can we do *something* as a social gathering this week? I'm bored, and finally agreeing with the "missus" that we need to go forward with the "D" word, so i'm depressed about that too (long time coming don't make it any easier).

@%&# man.  Im rather sorry for your situation.  I know a few close friends that are taking the plung this summer, and things like this make me glad im still single (though in a 6 year relationship).

Hopefully the kids take it well.  I took it well, and sorta liked my parents being seperated.  Made for nice vacations and being spoiled :)

Pool and food at Gateway Lanes was fun; anyone want to do that again? Anytime after work before Friday (i.e. Wednesday or Thursday, sounds like).

I just talked to Melbosa, and said "you're an Admin, you decide". He said "You started the thread, you decide."

So I have been given Power.

Wednesday it is. Gateway Lanes. After work, say 5:30 we get there. Whoever can drive Mr. A, get in touch with him, blah blah blah there I'm done organizing.

Looks like at least 4 of us are interested in maknig it (i.e. me, Mel, Lazy, Mr. A), but I say the more the merrier. :)

See y'all tamarrah!

Work has held me over one more night here in the north :(

I think I will still be back for 5:30 at gateway, but I am not sure what time my arrival will be. I hope I will be back around 4:00pm. but that will be after a 4hr drive, so don't extpect me to be too lively.

And yes, you can get internet in the middle of almost nowhere but its damn slow.

Good thing they have Sat TV.

Mr. Analog can hitch a ride with me there if theres a possibility of you being late Lazy, and I can drive him back if you don't make it at all.

His woman controls him now, there are times in the Clairview night when you can hear the faint sound of a bullwhip cracking and you know he's picking out wedding invitation borders instead of doing something meaningful (like playing PS2 or watching wrasslin').

Thanks but I can bus it - no point in you picking me up at my house and adding extra time to the journey :)

The 304 leaves Southgate every half on the hour so I was planning on leaving work around 4:45 or else 5:15, make it to Gateway just after 5:10 or 5:40. Maybe I'll get there at 5:10 so I can play some classic old arcade games for a bit :)

It actually isn't really that much out of the way.  Instead of heading directly to Calgary, I'd just keep going down a hundred ninth.  Your work is someplace by Southgate mall?

S'aright, no ride necessary. I've got a backpack with me (I read on the bus usually) so I want to drop that off at home first anyway, and I can take the 304 (it goes 1 block away from my house) and meet y'all around 5:15 or later (Galaga awaits! ;))

I was trapped downtown till 6:30 (our server farm is in the CN building).  i tried to call MrA on his cell but i might have the wrong number programmed in.

I really feel sorta bad.  I wanted to attend, though i will be at the D&D on the weekend even if i have to snowshoe.

I could lend you my daughter's dinosaur-shaped ones, if you like.

Yes, she told Santa she wanted "Dinosaur shoes!".  So she got dinosaur shoes for Christmas.  They strap onto your boots just like real snowshoes, but they are shaped like t-rex feet, so they leave t-rex tracks.
