Canada has just closed a deal to purchase half of the Hawaiian Islands.

The deal is touted as a groundbreaking new way for the US to generate money in order to bounce back from the tough economic times it has seen in the past couple years.

The Mexican government announced a travel advisory against Canada today.

Mexico cites the alarming amount of beaver attacks happening across the country as the reason for issuing the advisory. Mexican authorities claim that tourists are in danger of being bitten, slapped or used as part of a beaver damn.

There have been no fatalities reported, but it seems as though Mexico doesn't want to take any chances.

"This is a precautionary measure designed to prevent injury" said an official who wishes to remain anonymous.

"Beaver attack? I haven't seen a beaver in 20-something years" commented North Bay resident Andy Morster. "Used to be that you'd wake up one morning and BAM, all your trees are gone. Now, ever since they left their jobs at Bell, they've been pretty low-key."
