Har-dee-har-har   I thought about getting a new deck, but all I really want is my FM reception back.  I might take up Melbosa on his offer of help to see if the problem is just a loose connection to the deck from the antenna.  I occasionally get spurts of reception, so a loose wire is a possibility.
