Its only a minor share... just enough to get PS 5 games from Epic I think.

Why does epic even want the money? Seems weird. They should still be swimming in cash. Unless they've been spending too much on the store and whatnot.

Sony might have approached them, wanting to get Epic games on PS 5 and Epic policy is only for stake holders in the company, so Sony had to lay down the 250m to get the minimum amount.

Or they could just be looking to leverage each others distribution and advert departments.

I do not believe Epic is in financial trouble in any way IMO.
