Title: Cool but costly way to handle maps

I like the detail of the maps.. With software like that it might be even worth displaying the map on a TV and still doing a rough one on a board. At least this way the placement an orientation would be easy to communicate.

The hard part is keeping the DM's fidgeting with the map under control...  If a lot of time is spent fidgeting with the map, a lot of players will be sitting around bored.

I've had the idea of an auto-mapper on a computer hooked up to a TV in my head for quite some time, but it always came down to the DM being distracted from the actual game...

I know how Lazy found this 'cause I was looking at this today too.

1. Read latest Order of the Stick
2. Went to links area to find other equally awesome comic.
3. Found the oft overlooked d20 base ruleset linked therin
4. Found the link to the "digital map creation" on the d20 base ruleset homepage

Seriously, I nearly posted this an hour ago, but then the following thoughts entered my mind:Obviously it might be better to spend time mapping imaginary worlds than drinking ice cold beer and looking at hentai, or drinking espresso and jammin' on the Roadstar, or driking water and watching (and memorising) pop culture minutae. But I made my decision when I chose my nerd powerset and origin type and I ain't about to respec now!

And I guess I play some games from time to time...
