Damn, it's getting closer to Portal 2 time!
I know I'm getting excited!
Yes, it'll be amazing, I just know it!

I'm really curious about how having more character development in the single player game (through the talking robots) is going to affect the experience.
I just loved the feeling I got going through the original being mostly alone, it felt empty and desolate and really highlighted the eventual conflict between Chell and GlaDOS. It went beyond a game to outright survival without any direct narrative.
Some of the scariest parts were when there was a moment of silent calm (mostly because you knew something nasty was coming up).
I think I'm going to play through Portal again this weekend (if I don't get wrapped up in the Warhams again)
I, personally, liked watching the credits. That was probably my favorite part.
Then again, I found it quite intriguing that the portal gun was worth more than the sale of my 'home towns' vital organs...
I can't wait to find out more about the character!
I did like the little propaganda bits like the Portal gun's worth haha
Personally I hope they develop Chell the same way they developed Gordon Freeman, that is to say don't assign them a narrative. The less we know about them the more interesting they are :)

6 extra seconds... LOL
...Oh this game will be interesting...
Arrgh, I hate the internet...
I may I know too much of the plot already, like for example the guy who's doing the voiceovers for the recent batch of commercials (Cave Johnson) was the CEO of Aperture who, thanks to lead poisoning, went crazy and yet somehow his mind has been uploaded to the computer network. It may be that the main villain this time around isn't so much GladOS but a virtual Cave Johnson.
There may also be a mission outside the Enrichment Centre (aboard the Borealis, the Aperture Science research vessel seen in Half-Life Episode 2).
Cave Johnson is voiced by the guy who played J Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man films.
JK Simmons? cool, he's got a great distinctive voice, was even obvious back in his Law & Order days that he'd have an enduring career as a Character Actor.

PS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cave_Johnson != http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Cave_Johnson ;)
PPS: anyone here go hardcore in this? http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Portal_ARG
I'm just saying but since the turrets trailer I've eaten potato every day

15hrs and counting.
O ya, remember there is going to be multi-player... Hope to see you on steam!
The potatoes are rapidly counting down as of now... not sure what GladOS is up to, she claims a pre-release lethality test is running...
Potato power!
Read through the text output from GlaDOS... "Engaging starch-based power cells" LOL
It's almost like the guys in charge of the game are Irish - potatoes everywhere!
Or Russian (vodka!)

5 hours
3.5 hours left now...
Y'know for something that was supposed to help the game drop early all I'm seeing is that it's going to drop "on time".
Yeah yeah, you don't have to tell me that they said the official release time was supposed to be 7 AM PST... dammit, knuckle-dragging console idiots can just be at a store at midnight and get the game without grinding indie games.
Heck, in an hour and 15 minutes mouth-breathing console gamers in New York will be playing, there's just something not right about that.
I should have taken tomorrow off...
Holy crap! 1h 15 min left!
Thank you people playing the potato sack games!
Now get more taters! I waits in the darkness :D
>2 min now!
Woooooooooo!
GET. THIS. GAME.
If you don't have it, get it YOU NEED IT
I zoned out and wen to bed early... :( Positive reviews are coming in, I will probably play tonight some time.

It is brilliant, there are laugh out loud moments and there are some bits that make you stop and think.
The new puzzles are just great, you get a real sense of completion.
Also the world seems much more open and interactive, you affect your surroundings a lot more and there are more little goodies to find here and there.
I'm not even halfway through yet (test chamber 12 I think?)
If you liked GlaDOS before you'll love her now :D that's all I'm sayin'

I did indeed!
Damit! Played through single player in two sessions, the first one being only an hour or two and the second was well long, let's just say it ended at 5am.
Great game, looses a bit of magic being a sequel, but still great.
Looking at my achievement I seem to have missed some stuff, I guess there is more science to do.
O ya and need to do the co-op run.
Yeah, I hear ya about co-op, still haven't tried it yet

Maybe that is a good thing, I hear it is only fun if both players are doing the puzzles for the first time.
Yep.
That's actually one of my only criticisms with Portal 2 a lot of the puzzles have to be solved a certain way, in Portal it was a bit more flexible in parts and it felt like you were freer to try different things.
Of course Portal 2 has a level editor so, I look forward to community mod packs/maps
We Need to setup a time to go through co-op. There is science to be done!

Isn't your dog a wimp?
I didn't realize there was a soundtrack download, at first.
And yes, he's a wimp. I would've expected him to whine, not snarl.

There are also official avatars (kinda late to the party Valve!!)
Interesting! You should try the Orange Box soundtrack and see what he does with the Half-Life 2 stuff!
