A global search of reddit for Fragapalooza only returns the one post from last year for me as well

Thorin

The Fraga post I found on Reddit was a Calgarian calling all Calgarians to go lay waste to all and sundry at Frag.  Kinda funny that I found that when searching for Edmonton Fragapalooza.

Man, hope you get it sorted, otherwise you're just running on word-of-mouth this year.
Prayin' for a 20!

We've been advertising in may places; major ones are Facebook Campaigns and Edmonton Catholic Schools.  Added are EB Games locations (that I have made it to) and U of A and NAIT locations.

I haven't seen much on facebook. But hey, Adblock.

I really do think some kind of official announcement people can share/reblog/retweet/whatever would be a good idea. and do it fairly often ;)

I've been doing them... just don't want to over burden with them.  Done 3 in the past month.  I try to give updates and knowledge ones as well as we go.  What can I say, I can up them to once a day if you think it would help.  Just worried it would get annoying.

Well what we really need is people talking about it.

Infrequent posters on any social media site kind of don't get anywhere (they get buried by the stream).

How about a countdown post every day with a new challenge or something

Melbosa

Hmmm that might work.  What challenge or idea do you think we should try?

I dunno, there are official tournaments that have rankings and stuff how about getting people to retweet a post with their scores and stuff

"What's your best Counterstrike moment #fragapalooza #yeg"

Or do a gamer trivia thing for fun?

Or ask opinions!

"Most OP Hero in DOTA 2 #fragapalooza #dota #yeg"

Stuff like that

If you don't post frequently, you get buried before people even see your post.

One little tid bit.. the reason the Obama campaign spammed the crap out of people? It got more people to donate, than it annoyed people enough to unsubscribe. So yes, some people did unsub, more people actually gave them money than if they didn't spam.

But Facebook is a different beast. you gotta keep up with the official posts or people forget about you. 3 updates in a month is... nothing. I think I may have seen one of them.
