a few of my favorites:


simple "tripod" and/or free-standing phone, via cutting a slot in an empty toilet paper roll and then balance with 4x push pins at 45 degree angles



drip-free home-made icepack, via soaking a sponge then putting it in a ziploc bag



smarter ice-water in a bottle, via putting it in the freezer after filling *halfway* and putting it on its side



store all those randomly-sized cleaning supplies, via hanging shoe rack



hidden-in-plain-sight "vault" for your keys, wallet, phone, etc. at the beach or similar, via empty suntan lotion bottle



hidden-in-plain-sight "vault" for your paper money, via empty lip balm container



more even microwave heating, via empty space in the middle of plate



easy removal of un-popped kernels from microwave popcorn, via small opening then flip upside down BEFORE shaking to even out the popped kernels
