Wii U games that have really caught my attention tonight:

Scribblenauts Unlimited (available)
New Super Mario Bros U (available)
Transformers Prime - The Game (available)
Lego City Undercover (have it)
Rayman Legends (Sep 3, 2013)
Lego Marvel Super Heroes (Fall 2013)
Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW (Nov 12, 2013)
Super Smash Bros for Wii U (2014)

Other games I'll probably end up getting:

Super Mario 3D World
Mario Kart 8 (although we _still_ play Mario Kart Wii from time to time, and yes we use the plastic steering wheels)
Wii Party U
possibly Skylanders games

I know Mr. A has a Wii U - any other games you're looking forward to?

Hmm, we have LEGO City: Undercover ($60), Transformers Prime - The Game ($50), and now we've bought Disney Infinity ($60) (just like Skylanders, you have to buy little pieces that you put on a special gamepad to unlock characters in the game - it's a straight-up money grab and we've spent another $70 on those pieces so far).  And of course Nintendoland, which comes with the console, but doesn't get played very much.

So the console was $350, I think?  And the games so far were $240.  Hopefully the next couple of games can be bought for cheaper.  We're getting tons of hours of play time out of the games so far, though, probably 300+ hours since we bought the console.

The LEGO City: Undercover game, it's still getting played and three different kids have finished the story now.  It's just a wonderful large sandbox that you can do all kinds of things in, just like the GTA series except no hookers and no murders.

I think that's why I like open world games, you get a lot of mileage out of 'em (heck, I've clocked 23 hours on Saints Row IV already!!)

I'm greatly anticipating WATCH_DOGS, which is out in November
