There is a newer version that was made in 2000, I don't like it as much, still have a copy of the stop motion one in my collection.

Man, I have a soft spot for those old Rankin/Bass stop motion flicks.

Funny story, Billie Mae Richards (the voice of Rudolph) is a Canadian voice acting GOD, if you heard a female voice in a Canadian cartoon chances are it was her.
