Title: Internet Explorer brand name disappearing
Post by: Darren Dirt on March 17, 2015, 10:30:42 AM
Apparently they are trying to get CHROME users to switch back to IE... by naming it something else -- ANYTHING OTHER THAN Internet Explorer!

^ I am curious if we will ever find out what 4 names are on that coded shortlist ^

I am curious as to whether it's built on a brand new engine, or whether it's simply Internet Explorer with a search-replace of the name.

One of the reasons I switched to Chrome a few years ago was the lightning-fast-compared-to-the-competition javascript engine (it was called V8 at the time).

That was previously answered, yes it is a new rendering engine
