Title: Using your character's intelligence to your advantage.
Post by: Mr. Analog on July 21, 2006, 09:56:58 AM
So, let's say you encounter a tricky riddle and you can't figure out what it might be. Well you could roll using your intelligence and the DM might have clues for you based on how high you roll.

There might also be clues in the riddle that you can use your other skills in like Knowledge (Arcane) or Weaponsmithing to identify more hints when a riddle discusses say Arcane Magic or something about a Weapon.

Food for thought...

;D

Intelligence?  What's that? :)  My character doesn't have the greatest intelligence in the world, but I do have a couple points in weaponssmithing.  Unfortunately, those just bring me up to base, because of the intelligence penalty :)

Err, um, Melbosa would be useful for such a task...  And this was not a hint, was it?
