The season premiere of Family Guy tonight was a fairly humorous retelling/parody of Star Wars: A New Hope.   There was a number of good laughs, including a humourous reference to Robot Chicken doing this first.

Hmm...  I found myself glued to the TV for that entire hour.  Mind you, I watched New Hope three weeks ago with the kids, so it was fresh in my mind :P  I loved all the geeky, nerdy references in it, and Darth Stewie was the best!

They had a good point on that one, why didn't they just fire?

Alright, I was laughing my arse off.  I nearly split my sides when I saw the pimped-out TIE fighter bobbing behind the others :)

You can find the whole episode, I think, in 5-parts, by searching:
Family Guy Star Wars Celebration
Family Guy Star Wars Blue Harvest
Family Guy Blue Harvest
Family Guy Blue Harvest Part <-- that's your best best, actually.

...but make it quick ;)

Anyone who is a fan of The Big Bang Theory now has Sheldon doing his famous, horrible "impression", playing in their brains.

This was also announced as the last Star Wars parody...

...because clearly Episodes 1, 2, and 3 are parody already.

My theory is that they are films from a parallel universe where the biggest sci-fi movie in 1977 was "Starship Invasions"
