another "need a heart-felt laugh" video...

the classic, must-watch-once-a-month work of art known as "Rejected"

^ and if you're hungry for the surreal* comic stylings of Don Hertzfeldt, he's done more shorts:

*and speaking of surreal, enjoy this "natural" kaleidoscope (man, the French are weird!)

actually, watch it later when you're not focused on work etc.

especially if you have a typical boring train/bus ride home. It's actually beautiful and poetic and depressing and sad. As the credits rolled I just stared at the monitor, deep in thought, and yet somehow without awareness of exactly what I was thinking, or feeling. And then I felt a strong desire to watch it again.

In order to understand this video, you must be at least a little sad. A little WARNING: If you are sad, this vid will become as addictive as hell. Here I am for the 50th time...
^ imo to this I totally agree and relate.

Well then save up the viewing until you're the opposite of that.

It's like a 17 minute hyper-aggressive shot of therapy... all by your lonesome! (Headphones recommended)

Actually I got a real good dose this weekend, watch The Illusionist, it is an animated film based on an unpublished Jacques Tati screenplay. It is framed in sadness but expresses such joy I cannot explain. As a father it may hit you harder than it did me, but man, talk about catharsis!
