Easy, yes, but _so time-consuming_ when you find out your scaffolding is too high / not high enough / in the way of your build.  I guess also it's that it serves no purpose other than to give you a place to stand, so it doesn't add to the build.  But I want to be able to say "100% legit SMP".

That's why doing the math and carrying WAY more than you need is important.

That's a lot of sheep!

I'm just about ready to give up and make my animal farm underground.  Had to borrow Derek's cow to re-breed my cows today, and I found several coloured sheep wandering around as I was returning his cow to him - when I checked the count in my barn, sure enough, the sheep had glitched out and escaped :(

People didn't take me seriously earlier when I was bitching about animals :P

Yeah, I believe you now.  I think I believed you back then, too.  But having seen it in action, I wonder what can possibly be done to keep animals from escaping or even glitching up and down like they do.

I don't think there is a way really...

Well, three-block-thick walls, ceiling, and floor, airlock-style iron doors or even piston doors, and a flowing water barrier could help...

three layers of cobble, one layer of water, one layer of lava, another layer of water, and another three layers of cobble. Doors controlled via dispensers and/or pistons.

Lets see them glitch their way out of that!  >:D

The Statesman Hotel or at least an approximation of it:

Here's what I was going for:

I still have to do the windows and interior, but it's a good start I'd say

Also I'm out of wood

Also I cheated in some nether brick/stairs
