Title: Over-complicating simple things -- remember when phones were SIMPLE?

a few folks ranting about IPphones deciding to reboot in the middle of a conversation/conference call... but others sharing their tales of woe that are really far less justifiable by Ma Bell (or the modern age equivalent)

IP phones are a PITA in many ways however they also have many advantages

My VOIP setup hasn't worked properly in ages. But maybe thats because I'm a @%&# sysadmin  ::)

Personally I don't mind paying for POTS it just works, also it stays up even when the power goes out

So would mine. But then again so does my cell. So I haven't really had a need to fix my setup.
