D&D: Characters are hobos?!

Only hobos keep track of every single dollar they have individually as a single running total, because hobos are the only people who don't have regular daily expenses plus regular daily income. D&D only does gold the way it does because D&D adventurers are hobos (very rich hobos, sure, but hobos who sink all their money into stuff they carry around with them, like hobos, rather than actually making investments and settling down and having a life).

LOL, I love this article and the conclusion, as we were talking this morning it seems the biggest difference between regular D&D and Modern is that in D&D you are a hobo, keeping all your loot on you and in Modern you have a job, expenses, etc...
