Well, I've put in almost 12 hours of game play on this over the weekend. This is what I thought about the game so far:
- Interesting Story Line
- Nicely done ancient china like part of the world, with interesting "zones"
- Good voice acting, I think John Clease and another well know actor (the tournament guy Qui in the Imperial City) are doing voice over, and are so far the ones I recognize.
- The change from D&D 3rd edition like rules from KOTOR series to what Jade has in well done (some aspects are similar, others are totally different).
- Quests are for the most part compelling to complete and drive the story well.
- Interest characters, as with KOTOR.
Can't really be completely evil in this one, you just follow the Way of the Closed Fist vs Way of the Open Palm. Combat system well thought out, except that your limited to certain styles if you want to really ever be mastered in any (well so far, not sure how much points you get by the end of the game).
Overall its definately worth checking out. Not sure if I will continue to play (WoW was so neglected by me this weekend :( ), but if I do will let you know what my second round impressions will be.
Sounds cool. I meant to pick it up on the weekend, but didn't get around to it.
So the game play is similar to KotOR?
Aye, very similar, but not so much D&D 3.0 edition like, as its has its own original system.
so better than that overhyped Fable...

Fable was FANTASTIC.
Im not going to say I didnt enjoy it but, I think when a Fable 2 comes out, That will be a great game.
I enjoyed the fact that i could finish it as a Good Warrior and an Evil Wizard in under 20 hours (total). Where as to complete KotOR as evil it took 30 hours. I dont have 60 hours to spend on any one game.
I sure hope that Fable sold enough copies for Blue Box to start a sequal.

I have to agree with you there B... thought Fable was cool, but not all "that" original. Had some neet eliments and functionality, but for some reason did "wow" me.
Now I think Jade is a better game, but I still don't think its the ground breaking killer RPG of the year, just because KotOR came first. But I haven't played through it all yet, so it might turn out to be.
