I'm posting this only because I think Ferguson is the kind of "crazy" that Letterman USED TO BE, and tbh I think it's the kind of crazy I end up being around my kids. A lot. So it's reassuring to hear Desmond Tutu say it's okay ;)

I know who Desmond Tutu is, but who the hell is the other guy.

Never heard of him...

He's a standup comedian who has hosted the Late Late show for a while now.
<Zapata Prime> I smell Stanley... And he smells good!!!

Since I'm on Youtube so often, the "CBS" channel often has clips from Craig Ferguson, especially his opening monologue. He's the funniest late night host right now, without question. His self-deprecating humour, his funny faces, and the way he interacts with the camera itself (walking into it, hitting it, etc.) ... well let's just say that if you miss the crazy early days of Letterman, and now Conan (until his new show begins), then Ferguson is your baby.

PS: this is true even if you absolutely HATED [his role on] The Drew Carey Show.

Ferguson is also likely the reason for Betty White's new popularity ... search "Betty White Late Late Show" @ http://www.youtube.com/user/CBS#p/search

* (At least I personally -- baselessly -- speculate that that snub is part of the reason for him hanging up the gay robot sidekick and putting away forever the "oo la la" profanity overdub ... dang, now what will Kristen Bell do when she's bored and wants to have some innocent flirty fun in front of millions? )

Makes me want to watch "The Late Shift" again, the genre sank itself a long time ago (I think)

well looks like It Has Been Decided.

No female host.

But instead, a quite amiable funny man -- http://duckduckgo.com/?q=James+Corden+late+late+show+Craig+Doctor+Who
"Here's a video guide to some of Corden's best comedic work to give you an idea of what to expect when he takes over The Late Late Show next year."
