Didn't have to click the link -- I want apple juice.

And agreed, BLR is also worth a lengthy perusal*.

Unrelated Star Trek trivia bite: "Spock" once did a one-man play* about Van Gogh(!) -- see also Google results

*I'm watching that interview, after about 5 minutes had an AHA moment, WOW that interviewer's voice is frighteningly similar to the guy who hosts "Q" on CBC Radio.

 should I ask how you got there? haha

The journey was not as weird as getting to this retro gem:
Tom Snyder* shows his sci fi ignorance with Bones, Scotty, and Chekov.

*surreal to see the diverse partial list of guests that Snyder had on his show ... like a 70s-80s Charlie Rose I guess.

Later on in the 41 minute program, there's a surprise appearance by...

the guy who was behind ST conventions.

Oh, and also Mr. Ego Himself, Harlan Ellison!

I ended up watching the whole thing. Some really insightful things were said near the end, not that I agree with all of them but some really meaty bits that get the brain going, especially these days with things like SDCC and "fandoms" in general.

Gotta love near the end -- "Star Trek was just a cop show!" gotta love Ellison ... because he's never afraid to vocally express his opinion even when horribly extremely WRONG.

Exactly

Also some of the shows he mentioned as being new (in 1976) I just had to look up on imdb and the like h'ggggah. The 70s were weird.
