http://www.cracked.com/video_18203_why-back-to-future-secretly-horrifying.html

A little review/disection of a classic ... that really is creepy/horrifying NOW THAT THOSE BASTARDS POINTED IT OUT!

I really like the "format" of this though, sorta semi-improv -- I hope they do more soon (this was released 19Jul2010).

Not bad, the dialog was very Kevin Smith.

I really like how there was "cross-talk" with a couple of off-topic conversations that kept popping up, like the apparently one-time fling, etc. Very Robert Altman, I thought. (The Player, Gosford Park...)

Yeah, very similar. It was witty, but not HAH-HAH-HAH if you know what I mean.

I really like SMBC Theatre they put out on Mondays.

I can't remember what thread a few weeks ago I mentioned they have done a complete "season" and done a bunch in season 2, but a new one posted yesterday.

It's an analysis of pop culture, with surprising depth and great characters inducing plenty of belly chuckling and head nodding.

Just like every other ep.

But it's still gold, Jerry, GOLD!

So... I haven't seen Skyfall yet, but I'm guessing that maybe this ep of After Hours is a response?

I know hey, I wanted to go see it but the timing was all wrong. I fear the same will happen with The Hobbit

Hey everybody else who got caught up before this latest season!

Guess what, there's more "After Hours" to binge-watch!

Yay, a new After Hours!

This one is pretty dark (natch) but at one point it gives a perspective on Space Jam that I never thought about...

STILL my favorite long-running series on Youtube, let alone just within the oh-so-prolific Cracked channel!

new ep seems to imply DOB is working towards a PhD IN GAMING STUDIES.

He's sciencing the @%&# outta this art form...

8)

preview: "Fallout" is actually a high school popularity simulation.

...and wouldn't at all suprise me if DOB was the writer of that AH ep PLUS this "Honest Ad" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngEhgqGlyjQ

Well, that* escalated quickly.

Cracked 12 months ago = funny group of talented people putting out great video and writing content regularly with a huge and appreciative fanbase whose eyeballs resulted in enough ad revenue to keep it alive and growing

Cracked now = pretty much dead; all the talent got booted and viewership has been plummeting #Feedbackloop #ChickenOrEgg

:(

*The Adpocalypse, pretty much. All the "golden egg goose killing" predictions of those who warned greedy YT over the last 18 months are sadly proving to be correct, basically.

GEEZUS has it really been 4 months since any new content @ https://www.youtube.com/user/Cracked/videos -- yikes my life has been THAT busy I guess!?

Effing E.W. Scripps idiots (https://duckduckgo.com/?q=E+W+Scripps+buys+Cracked)

But maybe now David Wong (http://forums.cracked.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=178004&p=3031989#p3031033) will write a 3rd JDATE book...

Sad/Funny (but a good thing!) that the Cracked forum now has a section specifically for keeping up with Former Cracked Staff Projects (http://forums.cracked.com/viewforum.php?f=22).

Seriously getting stronger Feels than when the IMDB forums went bye-bye. Golden Age of online comedy only obvious once it ended :( https://twitter.com/DOB_INC/status/986751911318642688 <<< You tell 'em Daniel!

Getting de-monetized sucks ass and it's punishing to a lot of creators, Ross Scott (Accursed Farms, "Freeman's Mind") had to move content publishing for his "Dead Game News" channel to his main channel because his uploads and viewer activity were just low enough for YouTube to pull the plug on his side channel. This bugs me because that was quality content and really did deserve to have its own distinct channel, he gets enough regular activity from people going back and watching his machinimas to support the new stuff but if he was just starting out he'd have to put in a lot of very, very specific effort to achieve enough viewer stats to be eligible for monteziation and the incentive to keep producing professional content regularly for YouTube.

In my opinion YT wants to be another @%&#ty cable channel plugging garbage corporate content and pushing out real people in favor of over-produced clickbait. they want big, easy to negotiate contracts, not thousands of small ones. It's the complete antithesis of what YouTube was designed to be.

Seriously where's the next YT contender already?

It requires buckets of money, YT was running at a loss for an extremely long time. It is super expensive to run a reliable streaming service..

Maybe PornHub can create a SFW sister site... they seemed to have figured out how to do it.

They're certainly well on their way. If the only content allowed to remain is boring, safe, sanitized, and senior-friendly then that's the only viewers you gonna get, YouTube. Idiot goose killers.

Except it's not even that, creators like Logan Paul are scum, the kind of scum you'd find on late nite trash channels 15 years ago and even though they violated some CORE Terms of Service rules the channel remained up because -surprise- it was feeding the YouTube monetization beast. Meanwhile smaller channels got advertisers pulled because they used NSFW language while reading text from the game they were Let's Playing and it lead to them censoring their language while the actual gamplay still had it.

It's madness I tells ya MADNESS
