Hey everyone,
So I was thinking and we really need a logo/banner for the site. I was hoping for something contrasting the two words, Righteous and Wrath. Although I have ideas, I am not artistic by any means.
Do you guys have an idea? Can you create some and post them here? I'd love to see what you can do.

Nah... that has been on the "Coming Soon" site forever. With some changes coming up, there might actually be a site coming... so wanted a fresh logo!

Ya also are we staying with the default forum skin? How about v2 of the forum, I think the skin is a little different.

I leave that to your choices... pick some. We have used White, Black and Red in the past, as well as Black and Gold.

One step at a time. I am working on other things at the moment for the site, so can't think of a Forum upgrade just yet.
For the record, I really like the current (default) skin, the light blue and sky blue are very easy on the eyes. Would prefer any future change avoids red/orange/green high-contrast mixes.
I will make a couple of logos and drop 'em in the thread.

Banners would be at least 750 wide... height, whatever looks good.
Logos, largest you can give me, as we can shrink to fit (and see how they look), but want but keep them w=h as much as possible.

Well, generally I work at 400 dpi so, you could have it poster size haha. I will try to figure out a good ratio. I'm already thinking one of two designs:
1. Sort of a basic "Web 2.0" style banner
2. A steampunk rusted metal looking thing
I'll try to get on these before the weekend...
1. Most forum logos only occupy a small rectangle of space in the top left
2. Vector art would be easy to reuse at any resolution / dpi. When talking only about logos most are kept simple in detail and in vector format for this reason.

Thanks for pointing this out, although I think Mr. A (and most graphical peeps) probably already knew this :P. But good information for any whom didn't. And yes I have software that works with Vector images.
While I have Illustrator I don't know if I'm gonna vector it, if I raster it at high res you should be able to reduce it to whatever size works.
What ever works for you guys. I don't expect anything, and therefore happy with everything :P
Site could use a favicon as well.. looks so plain in my list of boorkmarks.

Really it is wide open. What ever you think of when you think Righteous Wrath. Could be games, could be tech talk, could be Good and Evil, could be anything you want... I leave the creativity wide open! Even colours is completely open.
See that's the trouble though, I have a big blank canvas give me some direction...
Or I'll just sketch up some crazy stuff, either or
White and black, light and dark, healing and blood, prayer and pain... just ideas off the top of my head. Play of the words Righteous and Wrath... or don't. Again you could use the interests of this forum as a concept for a logo.

Multiple Multi-player game character in one of those fantastic group collision posses... They should look like a mix of sudo WOW, Team fortress, or everquest type MMO characters.
Or how about.
The words Righteouswrath with a bunch of characters climbing and fighting on the letters..
Just keep in mind, Righteous and Wrath have always been too words, but yeah Lazy's idea is kewl too

You know what's really goddamn hard? Making artwork for people I give a @%&# about. I finish something and then I hate it, then I start it again and I hate it over and over and over.
Weaving in and out of depression for months, dealing with friends and family drifting away and financial up and downs haven't helped things along either.
One of my favourite hobbies has become a virtual prison because of mental health issues I really can't control.

I apologize, I didn't mean to make you upset... I was just going through the old posts and saw this one and thought: "Well I guess I really didn't need it, but maybe there was one made and we forgot to follow through on it - wonder what it looked like!". Seriously we don't need a new logo, and no worries it wasn't made. If I wanted one that badly I'd have done something myself (despite my artistic challenges).
I hope it doesn't stress you too much that it never got done. It is fine without it. What matters is you to the RW Community and Friends, not some logo!
It just like, there was a couple of years gap and oddly enough I am finally getting through my backlog. I literally just took a five minute break from inking to check the forums and had this in my face. Bad timing I guess...
BUT it's all good, I've been having a great week, can't get me down.
