Starship Troopers 4 = animated ... and ... might be actually true to the source?

So now there's a teaser trailer; I just watched it, and something in my brain was triggered.

The words seemed familiar, but not quite right.

I read the book a few years back, but still to this day I remember Rico saying (thinking) something LIKE that in the opening paragraphs, before his drop.

But the new movie (in the trailer anyway) = pretty much the opposite of what he said in the book:

I always get the shakes before a drop. I've had the injections, of course, and hypnotic preparation, and it stands to reason that I can't really be afraid. The ship's psychiatrist has checked my brain waves and asked me silly questions while I was asleep and he tells me that it isn't fear, it isn't anything important -- it's just like the trembling of an eager race horse in the starting gate. I couldn't say about that; I've never been a race horse. But the fact is: I'm scared silly, every time.

In the book you really get in the mind of Rico (as the typical Trooper) , he is smart and honest about his emotions including fear, he's not just some rah rah Team America type of fear-denying jarhead.

I truly do hope this film is finally "close" to the spirit of the novel*, but based on that modification of the verbiage I'm not very optimistic.  ::)  And not alone in my skepticism: http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/1157184/starship_troopers_and_the_state_of_hollyood_scifi_remakes.html

At least the film seems to have "finally got the armor right" (as one comment said). But now I kinda want to read the book again after all these years.

When the hell are they gonna make Robert A Heinlein's Starship Troopers???  In the book they wherent infantry.  They were one man wrecking crews dropped in from orbit miles apart from each other.  When you carry nukes you don't want to be bunched up......  The first 30 pages of Heinlein's book alone would be one hell of big screen spectacle.
so true.
