just started getting this within the last 48 hours.

"entry point av_get_pix_fmt could not be located in the dynamic link library avutil-50.dll"

Did a google search (with Chrome, lol) and voila -- easy fix...

I uninstalled Electric Sheep and it seems to have made error go away. This was after upgrading Chrome, which didn't fix it.

Just an FYI to the rest of youz guyz.

edit: a very technical suggestion, if the Electric Sheep uninstall (or upgrade) doesn't work, here: http://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org/group/chromium-bugs/browse_thread/thread/a6841abb916338d0/d31db9c2caf00d1e?lnk=raot&fwc=1

Does cause the error:
- Opening an initial or additional browser.
- Opening a new tab.
- Clicking a bookmark in the toolbar.
- Clicking a bookmark in the "Other bookmarks" dropdown.
- Manually typing a new URL and clicking the button or hitting enter.
- Clicking a thumbnail or "Recently closed" link on the "new tab" page.
- Desktop shortcuts.

Doesn't cause the error:
- Clicking html links to new pages or domains.
- Back/forward buttons.
so ... yeah, it's quite a pain. Glad mine was easily fixed.

You running the beta or developer builds still or something? I haven't had this problem.

Mr. Analog

I had that recently too, dunno why it worked but it did.

Damn silent updates!

Wasn't the developer build. Standard latest-and-greatest public release.

I'm running XP, though -- so might be different in Vista/W7.

Haven't used that screensaver in like 6 months so was no biggie to let it go. Not sure why that particular issue would happen though.

Same deal here, since I got the KVM I just turned screen savers off.
