Title: Toshiba Going After Blu-Ray?
Post by: Mr. Analog on June 02, 2008, 09:42:41 AM
QuoteSwifty Nifty has an adventure submitted a link to a story about Toshiba's new High Def Disc Format. No I'm not kidding- apparently Blu-Ray has a new contender. This is apparently intended as a DVD backwards compatible format, but there's not a lot of details.
(Emphasis mine). I find it very interesting that after the HD-DVD fiasco Toshiba is still willing to compete with a new competitive technology.

That article was very sketchy.  Nothing but a report of a rumour, in my books.

Maybe, time will tell.
