Hey guys, just saw this on one of my forums, looks like a neat concept for a game (the Soviets invade the USA in 1989), check it out:

Mags

It's not cool: no Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, and a still incredibly hot Lea Thompson......

"Other trailers show a nuclear attack on a US airbase, somewhere in the desert, and a counterattack on a small town named Parker's Creek. On the web site the banner shows the Carnival Pier located in Los Angeles. Massive has revealed that, besides the continental United States, Europe and Russia will also be locations in the game" 8)

Oh, and guess who's a consultant for the game?

There's a lot of "trailer" videos on YT.

This one shows actual in-game footage, with the added bonus of having the classic CnC:RA tune "Hell March" in the background:

Some are saying it's like the "spiritual successor" to Ground Control -- anyone played that series?

Looks sweet! I'll definitely be getting that one.

Mr. Analog

I can't wait to see more trailers, I'll post some more tonight.

Some serious "WOW" footage, for sure... Apparently the camera controls are better than anything ever seen before.

"View the destruction as tanks and soldiers face off in this suburban wasteland." <-- low-level footage, notice the free-flowing camera manipulation, the easy zooming and panning and "following" of your troops 8)

Looks great, but the premise of the game is a little silly. There is no way the us military/army/navy would have let those ships get anywhere near the 100km of ocean let alone the coast. Specially during the cold war :D

But yeah, it does look cool.
<Zapata Prime> I smell Stanley... And he smells good!!!

A). It's fantasy.

B). Some fairly fantastical yet true things happened during the Cold War (e.g. Dr. Robert Ballard discovered the Titanic as a 'side quest" after having tried to locate the wreck of the USS Scorpion, "Project Jennifer" successfully lifted part of a downed Soviet nuclear submarine in the early 70s with a giant claw, there were no troops deployed in Cambodia before or after 1972 WINK WINK, several underwater collisions between submarines on both sides, CCCP navy deployment around the Cuban Missile Crisis both before and after the naval blocade, etc).

All in good fun :) It's basically "Red Dawn" without the Wolverines ;).

I combined the threads. Looks like a neat game, I still want more futuristic combat though.

Where are my frickin' giant robots!?
