I'm sure many of us remember the fun in CoH, well imagine if somebody was doing a new version of it
City of Titans was successfully funded last year:

They sound like they are planning for a 2015 release:

To be honest I'd love to see this MMO come back in some form or another
I'm in! Sign me up. Wish I saw the kickstarter!
ME TOO!
I hate finding out about this stuff way after it's over, then again it's closer now than last year :)
Sounds like another project as well http://www.heroes-and-villains.com/phpb/home.php... wonder which one to back.
Heh, I never heard of that one before (or maybe got the project names confused as they're similar)
Neat!

As long as I can stack 4 or 5 cartoony attacks, and when bored just super-jump all day in and out of the most dangerous zones of a huge realistic city, I'm definitely interested :) No joke, there are times when out of the blue I imagine myself doing exactly those 2 things, and really feel the loss,
emotionally. WTF, did NOT expect a simple video game to sink this deep into my pysche.
I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL
One thing I sometimes dream about is super jumping, that was the best feeling ever.
Close to end of life for the game I finally figured out how to stack things and they had of course added really fun powers and it was just, man, I love this
It was far more casual than other MMOs, and you could have just as much fun on your own as in an group in the later issues, and it was just as easy to find a group with the whole sidekick system.

Yeah, they nailed it, interface-wise and balance-wise. The repetitious nature of missions was well-hidden behind just enough variety in plot details, variety of terrain and enemies, etc... but SuperJump always kept me coming back ;)
Not to mention the insanely great feeling I got when I had it timed all my powers perfectly cycling virtually non-stop to get maximum DPS when playing solo (which was most of my experience when I went back to it for a bit, when it went free to play). But then I kept picking the most enjoyable solo archetype (http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Scrapper) ... until they offered up one better (i.e. similar, but with added FURY (http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Brute#Strategies)) hell yeah good memories...
Counting on CoT getting something going that stirs up similar feelings (not to mention possibility of team play)
Man I so want these projects to succeed. The more I think of the games the more I miss them
I wanna super-jump around Paragon City still! And beat up bully gangs before they steal grannies' purses!
Also 4 hour task forces were so much fun...
It's like an addiction dammit. Maybe not good if the supply gets un- cutoff.
the Missing Worlds folks are starting to demo some tech etc.

also HEY LOOK a gadget that lets you load old CoH maps and ... what? idk.
"Icon". http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php?topic=7288.0
WARNING: may cause sadness (http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php/topic,10609.0.html). Like homesickness, kinda.
PS: although that URL for "Icon" is similarly named, that's not the forum for the CoT project. This is:
http://cityoftitans.com/forums/questions-about-game-and-other-players plenty of people very excited about offering feedback and suggestions etc, wow!
btw there are 4 distinct "revival" projects been going the last 2-3 years or so, the homepages for each are listed here:

This project looks to be still active: https://cityoftitans.com/

I just want to explore a big city with colorful baddies and comic book story arcs... that isn't as slow and nerfed as [anything that came after it].
...sound like City of TITANS is some dedicated fans/devs response to the :crickets: that the huge passionate fanbase heard from NCSoft or whoever re. open-sourcing the original or allowing users to host servers etc.
Count me interested. Different but kinda the same, I'm on board!
