They're working hard on the Redstone Update!

New nether quartz ore, gives you nether quartz.

New daylight sensor (it does what it says), requires nether quartz to build.

New redstone comparator (it's a redstone repeater on steroids), requires nether quartz to build.

New hopper, collects items and can place them into chests, minecarts, etc.

Can now smelt netherrack into nether bricks, then form nether bricks into nether brick blocks.  Now there's a reason to save netherrack!  Dunno about nether brick stairs or slabs yet, though.

New redstone block, works like a redstone torch but is pushable by pistons.  Also reduces the storage space of all that goddamn redstone dust.

New trapped chests that emit a redstone signal when people open them (and at various strengths to tell you how many people are looking in!).

Double-click in your inventory to make items of the type you double-clicked stack up as efficiently as possible.  Shift+double-click and all other stacks of the same type as double-clicked will try to move to that area of your inventory.

Quicker dropping: just hover over something in your inventory then press Q, no more having to select it by clicking it first.

Lots of changes.  I hope they find a way to make the transmission of redstone signal downwards more easy.
Prayin' for a 20!

gcc thorin.c -pedantic -o Thorin
compile successful

Sadly Redstone Fence is just not on their radar but the applications are endless

I'd like to combine redstone with vertical fences somehow, and make it so you can stick the repeater to a wall

Heck even having dust stick to a wall would help
