Does anybody else find it weird that Futureshop sells furniture?
Are they Sears now? :)

If you own large show room space and sell things mostly in boxes that can be purchases sight unseen via Amazon for less, you need to diversify.
If you have a show room you better have stuff that people are willing to go out and touch / see.
So true, I mean they've had big appliances there for a long time now I guess it was a logical slide.
What surprises me is how some of the contents of the stores have generally shifted. Some stuff hasn't really changed: car audio, AV gear (tvs, receivers, etc). Their music and video stock is tiny now, replaced with mobile accessories. Laptops, printers and tablets seem to have expanded a lot taking up a good 1/5 of the floor space.
