I would call them "INFO-HELPERS" in this case. I never played through all of either game, so now I "get it" re. the story.
TIP for the rest of you: watch the video in CHROME so you can click the settings and choose a different playback speed (i.e. "0.5") ... normally I use Chrome if I want to watch a documentary (playback at "1.25" or even "1.5" depending on speed of narrator's voice and/or complexity of subject matter) and this is the first time I benefited from the "0.5 speed" option :)
