It's a TV show (or will be) they describe as "Extras meets Galaxy Quest".
It's already funded and it launched yesterday.

Yeah I helped it out. Hope it makes it into a network or full length web show. It has some great cast members.

Richard Castle and Alpha as "buddies"? *SOLD*.
Now if only they get the same casting directory as Husbands (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Husbands_(TV_series)#Cast_and_characters)! One can hope! #SuddenUrgeToRe-WatchThe2012VersionOfMuchAdoAboutNothing
PS: Felicia Day (http://www.amazon.com/Youre-Never-Weird-Internet-Almost/dp/1476785651) has written a freakin' memoir? WWWWD*?
PPS: "Leaf on the wind" is
not pandering! 10,000 internet points awarded!
*What Wil Will Wheaton Do? Because... you know, he's written a couple already. And they're like feeding off each other's geek cred and nerd energy etc. Which is awesome btw. Just finishing up "Space Janitors" (another Geek & Sundry joint). Highly recommended. Thanks WW & FD & everyone else who ever does stuff on G&S! (many of whom are Canucks! (Especially on SJ! (Like, a few folks from PicnicFace make appearances! (And even Colin Mochrie!) ) ) )
Good job on the parentheses there, they're correctly matched... Man, I don't miss programming in Lisp.
$1,279,582USD
RAISED OF $425,000 GOAL
... they gotta keep coming up with new stretch goals :)
CBS "found the one person (http://www.ew.com/article/2015/02/02/nathan-fillion-cameo-big-bang-theory-exclusive) who could make [haters] watch an episode of this damn show again. (Kudos.)"
PS: $2,039,551 USD
New trailer released this week apparently

Take Firefly fandom and/or mythos.
Add insanity of Hollywood culture (and a touch of Curb Your Enthusiasm vibe) AND the even more crazy insanity of fanboyz/grrrlz.
Add a bunch of friends cameoing or playing a warped version of themselves (again, Curb).
Thank the fans in advance.
=
PROFIT!
And grins ear to ear around the interweb.
PS: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/con-man they exceeded 3 million -- their highest stretch goal! ...think of what might have happened if they weren't thinking so small O_O
PPS: the "Comments" @ indiegogo brings you this:
Here is the video from the ConMan panel at SDCC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGonc64uQMY
And here's the Nerd HQ panel with Con Man https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IGrlfle-1o <-- Q&A moderated by Zachary "CHUCK!" Levi
I am VERY impressed that they got what looks like so much great content in only 4 months (!)
I watched the Nerd HQ panel yesterday (because it was a bit shorter in length).
Today I am watching the SDCC panel and WOW, hilarious and interesting, PERFECT lunchtime viewing -- highly recommended, what a casting coup! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGonc64uQMY
If you're all interested in, you know, pop culture and funny smart interesting people... you know, whatevs... /looks down sheepishly, kicks away a pebble
The SDCC panel was worth the 90 minute viewing investment!
They shared a bunch of interesting info too, like the length and # of episodes, more details about the crowdfunding and "The League Of Extras", etc.
Also, Chris Hardwick did his usual TERRIC job hosting this Q&A.
Also also, it was the birthplace of a hashtag (https://twitter.com/hashtag/imaginathan) 8)
SO cool to this "no studio execs diluted the purity level of awesomeness!" project is starting to get talked about in mainstream (aka non-geekdom) "industry" media world...
