Selling Point #1: KICK-ASS 80s-esque mostly-guitar-metal soundtrack!
Selling Point #2: much "Rebel Scum" died...
Selling Point #2b: ...which is good because of the human-izing of the Imperial Pilots via the helmet-removal shots. Very cool!
Selling Point #3: no Lucas-penned dialog to endure.
For me it was the nod back to classic 80s / 90s anime which surprised me quite a bit. It was an homage to many things
