Man I hope it goes back to the roots of the game with some kewl new stuffs: http://ca.ign.com/articles/2015/04/22/new-overlord-trailer-spills-gameplay-details... the last iteration of this game, well was kinda lame.
I hope so too! I love those games
Steam reviews seem pretty weak. Loads of bugs and bad ui, ai, etc. could still pull it together though.
one comment said: "Four players, top-down? This has Dungeon Keeper Mobile (http://www.destructoid.com/review-dungeon-keeper-mobile--269846.phtml) written all over it. Sadly this feels like a cheap cash grab using the Overlord name instead of a proper Overlord." <-- this approach is quite different from the original ain't it?
And I wonder if the comment was referring to Dungeon Keeper Mobile in comparison due to the apparent visual/gameplay decision for Overlord 3? Or even more troubling, its business model (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-07-02-asa-bans-dungeon-keeper-ad-accuses-ea-of-misleading-customers)? (i.e. "yet another depressing example of a treasured game ruined by greedy corporations and their money-grabbing microtransactions (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-06-25-will-ea-learn-from-the-terrible-dungeon-keeper-mobile-game)")
