Because I didn't
You can also directly share your entire steam library to another steam user on your local computer they get all their achievements etc.. you just can't concurrently play the game.
Yeah, I've played cities on my laptop streamed from my desktop. It worked reasonably well though sometimes the picture would get compressed down to near uselessness. I think that might have just been wifi issues though.
What surprised me was that there was virtually no delay in input on some games (Street Fighter IV Ultra) and only mild lag on others (GTAV)
Colour me impressed
Yeah, most of the time it was very usable for me.
I might actually try this from another network to see how well it streams over the internet (I'm going to guess twitchy action games will suffer a bit from latency, but otherwise pretty cool!)
So I found out today, you can even stream anything from your Desktop through Steam Streaming, including but not limited to Non-Steam games added to your Steam Library, or any application installed on your host PC. This is too cool and I hope they never remove the feature.
They just need to work on XBox controller detection

It is a major component of their set top box and big screen experience so it is likely to stay.
Also if you didn't know you can let other steam users who share your computer use your game library... My wife has a steam account and if she logs in it lets here play all of my games, it just doesn't allow concurrent access if I log in else were... Also some games write saves to a common folder instead of user or steam specific so that can be a problem.
Also did this with a friend the other day: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6730-TOAK-6497, was watching him play some Tom Clancy.
OBS and twitch work pretty well too
Yep, but this didn't require me to install anything new... just worked out of the box :P
