methinks he protests too much, I mean come on does a manslaughter or child exploitation criminal conviction really change the quality of driving the customer will receive? REALLY?
IMO 1 of 2 things need to happen (I don't care which)
1. UBER must be licensed
-OR-
2. TAXI licensing should go away
UBER is like any other unlicensed TAXI service.

There are certain tasks you shouldn't give to certain individuals.

On the radio today I heard that Amazing Race Canada had a stop at the Muttart ... and one team was late because apparently
they had to wait 30 minutes for a taxi from somewhere. Which of course does not surprise me -- was probably from the other side of the LRT. ...but for sure Uber is probably gonna use this kind of thing in their marketing materials ;)
It's like UBER drivers show up instantly either
The problem I have with TAXI service across this city is that there are some places that they're just at all the time and everywhere else is a 20+ minute wait
so no winners there
I took UBER to the airport for my trip to the US. The lady was really nice, but didn't know the way here (not going to fault her for that...), her gps took her a weird route to get here, and she didn't know the way to the airport. Really nice car though. Some high end luxury sedan. That said, she did turn down the wrong exit, and then did a U turn ON THE RAMP an drove back up on the shoulder. I was not impressed.
It was a bit cheaper than coop or the airport taxi service, probably by 10-20$ and that was before my $20 credit for my first UBER trip.

And if you guys'd been hit while pulling that u-ey on the ramp, her insurance would not have paid for your injuries.

Man, how the hell do you spell that? U-ey? Huey? Uwey? U-wee? @%, it's the slang for u-turn.
According to UD:
"u-ey"

Oddly enough the 2nd search result was "flipped a bitch" which explains its level of popularity with good drivers
I wish that quote button didn't break all the darn time. :(
Yeah, I was a bit hesitant to even try Uber after learning they generally don't have the proper insurance. Then when she took that turn i was a bit frightened, but it was super early in the morning, and there was almost noone on the highway, let alone that ramp.

Is Wayne Brady gonna have to flip a bitch?
