This is an online reaction timer that I came across while putting together a quick hockey blog post: http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime
Man, 200ms is fast!
Best time I could do was 224ms, but averaged around 243ms. But as the website said can be some factors that increase your scored reaction time that are outside your motor control.
226ms which is surprising as I am dead today
finally playing FPS pays off
I wonder how much your hardware factors into the time.
Edit:
Apparently the soft squishy button on my laptop vs my wireless mouse on my laptop seems to add between 50-100ms.
Probably should try with different mice.
Maybe test with some wired gaming mice.
That's a good point, I'm using a Razor Mamba here, I'm guessing it would be different with the touchpad even
Home mouse does much better than my work mouse but I have no consistency.
Managed to fire a few stray times below 200 as well as a few over 300.. Average is around 220-230 depending on my run.
I tried this again in the afternoon yesterday and had one over 700, I was interrupted by an IM window, though I didn't change it shows just how distracting that "boonk" noise really can be :)
