So a bunch of people that I play with online have moved away from things like TeamSpeak, Mumble, Skype, etc to a beta product called Discord (https://discordapp.com/). I used it over the weekend and the first thing I noticed is that you can just use in a browser, no need for the client (unless you want push-to-talk, then you need the client). It seems very easy to use and well designed. As far as I can tell it's free to use today... not sure how long that will last.

Very popular with a number of games these days ether as an out of band way for teams to chat or to fill in a missing feature (StarCitizen doesn't have voice chat yet)
