QuoteOracle plans to add Dyn?s DNS solution to its bigger cloud computing platform, which already sells/provides a variety of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) products and competes against companies like Amazon?s AWS.

I've had a DynDNS account since forever, not sure how to feel about Oracle management moving in...
Both a personal and enterprise user of their services.
Not sure how I feel about this.
Been reading a lot of comments in the same vein this morning with a few alternative suggestions.
I'm actually surprised Oracle went ahead with the purchase, especially after the big attack on Dyn last month. I feel like Oracle will use fear to move in sweeping changes rapidly (service model changes for "security" -heavy on the quotes- reasons)
My best guess is they bought some DNS patents and will now sue the pants of google (again) for google dns.
Oracle has an "enterprise cloud platform" - Dyn will slowly be absorbed into it until you can't recognize it anymore
Bringing it down to Oracle's level ;)
I expect in a year or so it will look a lot more like AWS or Azure
