Watched it last night, I think it is my favorite marvel movie so far.
Light, funny and bright like a comic book, similar to guardians of the galaxy in tone.. Lots of action spread out through the movie.
I've heard they jokey tone detracts from it a bit?

It is a complete departure from the other Thor movies which are dark and possibly a bit boring. If you like Guardians which is also bright a few jokes per minute I don't think you will have any issue.

Also Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin is featured in the movie during one of the fights.. so there is that.. It has been stuck in my head for the last few days between seeing the trailers and seeing the movie.
I freakin' love that song. I thought about it every morning since we got our first dump of snow lol

Still haven't seen it myself, but apparently the jokeyjoke stuff "works"; according to HT -- "if you're mad it tries to make you laugh too, you're doing it wrong" ;)
The whole MCU has been peppered with humor but there's a balance I feel might be tipping.
Anyway still haven't seen it myself either. One day...
Very similar tone to guardians in terms of funny.
It?s my favourite MCU movie so far.
For me I found the humour in Thor: Ragnarok a bit too much/forced at times and put Guardians ahead in that part. But that being said, it is definitely one of the best MCU movies to date. I just have some ahead of it in my list.
