I work with Edge on a daily basis and it's a very very lacklustre browser. I hope the replacement has a lot more common functionality because as it is it sucks balls

From what I initially heard, it was supposed to just be a replacement on their lower end devices...

But now it seems they'll just use chromium's core renderer and js engine in Edge's UI. Edge apparently already supports pluggable engines, so it wouldn't be a hard thing to do.
