Apparently Billy West is sick of non-voice actors thinking they're all that...

While it would be nice, I don't think it'll happen...
Very nice interview with Billy West! And a Futurama movie is surely something we all can enjoy. Just as long as they don't play the Breakfast Club soundtrack at the end of the movie to clear everyone out of the theatre. ;)
I can also get how he figures voice acting shouldn't be a celebrities-first venture. One of the voice casts for the english dub of Howl's Moving Castle is Billy Crystal. While I have nothing against Mr. You'll Find Me At The Oscars, I just can't picture his voice suiting the sneaky, conniving little fire spirit he's providing a voice for. All I can picture is regular Billy Crystal complaining about having to cook bacon. Unentheusiastic whoop. Put Billy West in the role of the little fire spirit though and you could be sure he'd put enough spice into the character to light up the whole performance (pun intended).
Like everyone knows the Taco Bell Dog, but can you name the voice actor who demands you drop the chalupa? Admittedly his name may not be up in lights and a household name like it might be if he was a celebrity, but he does what he does well and who in their right mind would want to replace him?
Adam West? :)
...oh, and on topic. "w00t", as this show was killed much before its time.
That's for damn sure, the potential for more adventures begs itself! They never even got to make fun of Stargate or Dr. Who!
*grins with pride at the knowledge that I have triggered many a woot-smile in my friends today*
Oh, and PS: The Taco Bell dog is actually voiced by
Erik Estrada. He has a nickname, "Marco", and he's got his own trailer (whereas the chalupa doesn't even have its own chair!). I heard that somewhere ;)
FIGNUTS!
*ignores crazy person, throws back a couple of Stimutacs*...
Marduk is like waaaay cool man!
