Title: Continuing Education via Correspondance
Post by: Fedora Gal on August 02, 2005, 01:50:53 PM
So in my infinite wisdom and Red Bull energy drink filled self (ok before the red bull but it explains my mind set) I've been snooping around to find Distance Learning College's/University that I can take courses through to get a diploma/degree in 3D Animation, French, Flemish (doubt I'll find this one), Dutch, and pretty much anything computer wise, Ie. computer science etc, maybe even a few art classes, haven't quite decided.

I'm posting to see if any of you guys have heard of any other schools than I was able to find over the I-net. Gotta do distance ED, and allow for students in Canada of course, as I can't afford to go back to school full time.  Here's the two that I requested more info from.

Centre for Distance Education - only one I found with some of the computer courses I want

Distance Studies - for the languages and other university stuff

Heck, they have a virtual campus real nearby here - downtown Edmonton as well as in the Grandin Business Tower in St. Albert (the tallest building in my home town, FYI). I had a job op a few years ago with Athabascu U and was quite impressed with how well they are handling distance learning.

Since it's so near maybe your bro' could pick up some glossy info for ya

I wish I was getting paid, I'd drink the stuff all day and never sleep....although my heart would probably explode from the additional stress, so maybe not the best idea!

Red Bull, what a drink.  It couldnt pass Canadian law as a drink, instead it used a loophole in "alternative medicine" to be stocked on our shelves.  Its also banned in a ton of countries.  Ive never had it, and i dont plan on it.

It tasts like what I imagin raw moutine due mix must tast like. Its very strong tasting in a bad way. I would much rather drink several bottles of Bawls.

I definately agree, didn't have a ready supply of bawls though, I only found them in one place in the 'peg so RB was the alternate. Red Bull reminds me of those fizz candies...just amplified, and I really like fizz!

I would have to be very tired and have sort of strong need to be up before I would try that stuff again.. The tast is that bad IMO.
