Just heard of the "RatpadzGS" by BFG Technologies ... looks impressive, and me being one of those "just using my desk surface with my optical mouse" people, I admit my precision and comfort totally is teh sux0rz, so something to consider... (anyone tried these - especially the "revision 2" models?)

Uhh...., Ratpadz are made by HardOCP, not BFG. I've got one at home, and while I don't see any difference in accuracy compared to at work (both places using the same MX1000 lazer mouse, but at work I just use my desk), I do like the way the surface works with the gliders on the mouse - makes for a very low friction combination.
You might be able to get them locally in Edmonton now, but when I got mine (1.5 years or so ago) I had to order it from NCIX (BC)
I believe CompuSmart carries them...
