That's the only (can sculpture? "sculpan"?) that has an increasing # of cans as you go "up" (in the neck). I was doing the same thing last week, with toilet paper rolls (I buy a lot when they're on sale, and throw 5 or 6 at a time into the bathroom).

Stacking "in defiance of gravity" is a bit challenging, but way more fun -- here's what I stopped at...

^ it is possible, so long as the "top" returns back to 1 item (i.e. ends kinda "closing the circuit" in a way, and the items you're stacking aren't too wide compared to their individual height (which makes the snake-cans pile all the more impressive).
