(more like this: http://www.youtube.com/results?search=magic+aces&search_type=search_videos&search=Search )
:o somebody explain that first one for me :?: :?: :?: :P
of course, it's probably a simpler one than *this* one, a "colour changing trick" called "Swiped":

:) Fun to watch, but I wanna know how they do it :P
I would say it has to do with the bending/snapping of the cards. He probably has two sets of four kings and two sets of four aces, and he probably has them attached to each other in a unique way. Notice that he's quite particular when handling the cards - when he snaps and bends them he's holding on tight. The exact method of attachment, I don't know. But by the time he puts what you think is a King down on the Ace pile, he's already switched it into an Ace.
"Swiped" is easier. Some things to notice:
- He holds the cards tight, you can tell there's something he doesn't want you to see
- He doesn't let you see the entire Queen
- He very carefully slides the Spade Five over, as if he's trying hard to hold on to something
- He pulls the Heart Five out, moves the cards a little, then drops them straight down
If I were to re-enact that trick I'd cut the Queen in half. Once it's in half, Layer the cards so that the half-Queen is over the Heart Five, and the Spade Five is behind. Pull it out, put it on top without the audience seeing the half-Queen, slide it over, pull out the Heart Five, and then make sure to drop the cards in a way that the audience doesn't see the half-Queen.
