I think a few others around here are interested in this topic, and there's some interesting news today. A whole bunch of Canadian music artists have formed the Canadian Music Creators Coalition, and put out a whitepaper with their opinions on DRM, sueing customers, P2P, etc. of which they are all against.

That's some great news.
A shcism in industry associations could mean some interesting legal issues in the future (i.e. which is more representitive, why do some groups demand levvies and others not, etc)...
as all this DRM stuff comes about and all these issues i have never noticed an issue with my IRC sources. Hopefully that continues. Music is in my opinion overpriced on CD format and more so in digital format.
Good to know we pay for it when we buy blank CD's and DVD's
