I just came across this interesting rip-off report (http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff152481.htm) by former Edmontonian Nathan Fillion (whom many of you know as the star of that show (http://imdb.com/title/tt0303461/) I hates). He rags on (deservedly) the hapless staff at Warp 1.
Ever since they moved and cleaned house staff-wise the whole place has gone to @%. I'm glad I deal with Warp 2 exclusivly now.

Since starting this week IMDB finally is allowing its members to rate TV series (previously it was just movies or TV pilots which are basically movies) guess what?

Maybe this is finally the motivation for Mr. "humble popculture wizard" Analog to finally register for IMDB, so he can choose a lower ranking than "10" (which
386 members including moi gave this Whedon genre-buster ;) )
Nathan Fillion has also done some memorable guest star bits in TV as well, most noticeably (to many of the RW community anyway) as the nasty religious-collared supernatural baddy ("Caleb") in the final season of Buffy... And of course, as the abusive boyfriend-turned reformed decent human being ("Johnny") in the old sitcom "2 guys a girl and a pizza place (or one of many variant names)
Plus last month was showing a surprisingly watchable 1999 Alicia Silverstone
romcom (The Walken rulz!) and Nate played a punch-happy ex-boyfriend, which I thought was kinda funny when I recognized him.
Other Edmontonites who've made it big include Law&Order/CrossingJordan hottie Jill Hennessy, "
Gavin" (!), a
"Starfighter" lover, a
field dreamer, and some guy with Parkinson's who thinks he's a "
Lucky Man"... oh, and apparently some infamous
stoner who thinks he's actually funny (I've seen his standup act; he's not). :o
Edmonton: our greatest export is talent to the entertainment industry! ;)

PS: Any "Angel" fans who, like me, never saw any of the final season in its first run, it's been playing 3 hours per night on Space (Midnight - 3am) and the final 4 episodes are gonna be playing today and tomorrow -- 3 today and 1 tomorrow (i.e. "tuesday 9thMay morning 12:00am-3am" and "wednesday 10thMay morning 12:00am-1am" if yer setting your VCR)
